Nerta (Entaco NV) was established by Mr Werner Engels in 1971 and is since the mid seventies a leading manufacturer of car- and truckwash products.
Nerta has reached a market share of about 80% in its domestic market, Belgium, since the eighties. Today Nerta is still defending this strong position.
The international success of Nerta followed the development of Carnet Jumbo, the first touchless cleaning product for car- and truckwash applications in the market.
Nerta Car & Truck is meanwhile present in 37 countries, worldwide, and is still adding new countries to the list. The export business represents today more than 70 % of the turnover.
The product portfolio is complete with products for self-carwash, tunnels and rollovers and we also have an extensive range of products for truckwash application: Nerta Car & Truck.
In the beginning of this century, Nerta added a second range of professional cleaning products to its portfolio. This product line is specifically targeting the cleaning and disinfection in the food industry. This product range has grown into a specific business unit: Nerta Food Industry.
In 2002, a company called BTC, existing since 1970, was taken over by the owner of Nerta. BTC was and still is specialized in the construction of truckwash installations. The Silverstar is since the mid nineties a reference in truck-, bus-, tram- and trainwash installations. Since the integration of BTC in the Nerta Group, some new machines were added to the portfolio. In 2004, the production of self-carwashes started and one year later, also biological water recuperation systems.
In 2010, the company was taken over by new shareholders, attracted by Caroline Engels. As from 2011, BTC goes to the market as Nerta Technics, the machinery business unit of the Nerta Group. Also in 2011, Nerta will launch a fourth product range, called WE by Nerta, in honour of Mr. Werner Engels. This WE range is a new product line of professional car cleaning products in a consumer packaging. This WE range will be sold in carwash shops, service stations and is targeting professional as well as home use.
